Default 2010 Fit -- Mobil 1 synthetic oil

A little over two years ago, I bought my wife a new, 2010 Honda Fit.

She really likes the car and it's been fine, but she just doesn't drive it very much. In the two years and three months we've had it, it just turned 1800 miles on it this weekend.

I had the oil changed for only the second time, and this time, since it does so much sitting between starts, I thought it might be better for the engine, especially in cold weather, (even though it's garage kept all the time), to put in an oil that might circulate through the engine quicker after a cold start.

I had them put in Mobil 1 synthetic, even though there is quite a cost premium for it.

Anyone have long-term experience using this oil? Will it make a difference in the long term, or is it a waste of money?
