Default How do I fix the map/interior light of my 2006 Honda Element?

Is it the fuse I need to check? I otherwise can't see a way to get to the bulb.

the bulb cover should pull down. If not sure ask any auto parts store employee for help.

If none of these answers help, post your question on the forum at http:/www.elementownersclub.com This is a very active and informative (free) site for Element owners. You even may find an owner in a regional chapter who will show you how to change the bulb.

if you look hard enough you might see a small indentation on the light cover or some kind of small clip like structure, like the cover on the back of a remote or something. if not look in your handbook of something, it might tell you what fuse it is. you can always go to auto zone or advanced auto to get a new light and fuse.

If it was the fuse none of the interior lights would work not even the ones in the door. If it is the map light (the one you press and click to turn on and off) Use a small flat head screw driver or a dime and pry on the short side of the lens next to the circle indent and pop the lens off to get the bulb out.
If it is the dome light (the one in the middle of the roof) pry in the middle of the short sides of the lens using the same tools.
